YOU ARE ENOUGH

Today marks the first day of Pride. I can’t help but say thank you for those that stepped up despite the fear of what others thought.

How many times have you felt less than or put yourself down in fear of what others may think or do?

I am sure we have all been there and continue to be there for many reasons.

Recently I felt this way about my work. I felt I was omitting the one thing that makes me, ME. My work is all about love, spreading love and making others feel loved and supported for who they are.

I speak freely about the love I have for my wife and even make open love letters in my captions about her. She is one of the biggest reasons Pride is so memorable to me.

Long story short, she spotted me during the Pride parade where I was dressed as the Mascot for the company we worked for. Little did we know we worked together and that was the day that started it all.

But why do I feel the need like I need to “come out” once again?

Well, here goes…hey, my name is Britt Hoffman, I am an LGBTQ+ artist spreading love and support to others through my work.

There it is, out in the open for all to read.

It wasn’t always easy for me to admit who I was, what I wanted to grow up and do and so much more.

My work has always reflected love and I’ve also done other Pride related work in the past but somewhere I stopped myself from doing so in fear of what others might say. In fear of how others might react.

Today I say enough is enough.

I will continue being my true self and not hide in fear because I am definitely a lot happier being true to myself. I want this for all of you.

I want you to live a life worth loving and living as your most authentic self. To not live in fear and to know the following:

  1. You are enough

  2. You are amazing

  3. You are brave

  4. You are loved

  5. You are bold

  6. You are courageous

  7. You are strong

  8. You are worthy

  9. You are never alone

  10. You are one of a kind

Today is a celebration of you. Wear your Pride… Wave that flag because no matter who you identify as or who you love…. You matter.
